Resetting

Priority 1 for the offence regardless of the the system we are playing out of is to maintain posession.
A crucial part of this is to reliably reset the disc instead of taking on tough options.

You must engage your dump EARLY

We have seen on countless occassions how much easier it is to play from flow than from static and we need to be giving ourselves those options. When you are on disc you can control the pace of the offence so if the play looks frantic then engage the dump early to restore some composure.#

Resetting Principals

In 95% of cases we do not want the dump to activate until they have been faked at by the handler.

As a thrower
  • Look early, it helps massively to keep the disc moving, do not hold the disc beyond stall 5.
  • If the reset is poached off, we move the disc to the reset immediately.
  • To activate the reset we throw a clear and obvious fake or vocalise
As a cutter
  • Do not cut until you have been engaged
  • Maintain good spacing
  • Cut hard and then clear, no dancing
  • Do not cut into the space directly behind the thrower
